What you will do
As a Technical Sales Engineer you will be supporting the sales representatives and market companies with product and technical advice. When a customer is requiring an adapted truck to operate in a specific application with specific needs, you will be the one supporting the salesmen or market company so that the truck will fulfill this specific customer request. You are in daily contact with people from different cultures and organizations. With your interest in finding solutions to make our customers successful, you are the interface between the sales organization and our production facilities. You will be responsible for the Dutch market, occasionally Belgium, and the stakeholders within that market.
If you have a technical interest, great customer focus, like working with adapted solutions for the complete truck, enjoy communicating and build good long-lasting relationships - this is the position for you!
We are a team of 12 sales engineers, not only working together but also cross functional with production, design and purchasing. We enjoy performing our outmost to support the sales network with the most suitable truck for our customers. We receive daily feedback on the work we do, both from the sales network and from our factories in Ghent, Tuve and Blainville. The work we do is very motivating since our efforts not only contribute to Volvo Trucks financial result but mainly to our customer success.
