Work EnvironmentThe Large Projects & DBFMO division takes care of the installation of special techniques in (large) buildings and complexes, both in the public and private sector: electrical equipment (high and low voltage installations), HVAC, sprinkler & sanitary.

Department Manager - Special Techniques Buildings - Electricity.

- you are responsible for the achievement of financial operational and safety targets
- you develop the strategy of the department and based on this strategy you plan, develop, organize and coordinate all activities
- financial management:
- you have full P/L responsibility of the department Wetteren
- you develop the budget and the long-term financial objectives
- you detect deviations to budgeted cost, turn-over and results and initiate and follow-up corrective actions
- you are responsible for the invoicing and cash collection
- you prepare and present the Quarterly Business Review of your department
- commercial management:
- you manage the relationship with the customers, together with the operational teams
- you decide on margins and conditions with the Sales/Tendering Manager during contract negotiations
- operational management:
- you have final responsibility of all execution activities
- you assure that quality, environmental and safety objectives are met by the team and initiate corrective actions if needed
- you develop and maintain processes for continuous improvement towards operational excellence
- you stimulate interactions with other teams/departments of Equans in Belgium
- people management:
- you lead by example
- you organize the staffing of the department: “the right person in the right place”
- you detect training/recruitment needs and initiate them with HR
- you stimulate your teams in creativity, new ideas and innovation, as well in new technologies
- H&S management
