The company is an international non-profit organization dedicated to conservation and environmental protection and based in brussels.
As a key member of our Finance team, you'll ensure our financial operations are accurate, reliable, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records by processing invoices, expense reports, and bank statements.
- Record accounting transactions such as salaries, subsidies, and program-related revenues/expenses.
- Handle year-end tasks: receivables, provisions, amortizations, and closing operations.
- Prepare payments, manage invoices via DocuSign, and handle petty cash.
- Issue customer invoices and follow up on payments.
- Organize external audits and ensure compliance within budget.
- Prepare the annual accounting closure schedule, file annual accounts, and handle tax returns.

- Your Background: You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting (or a related field) and 0-4 years of experience. You'll receive training, but a strong foundation is essential.
- Language Skills: You are fluent in Dutch or French, have a good knowledge of the other language, and are proficient in English, our primary work language.
- Personality Traits: You are organized, adaptable, and solution-oriented, with strong communication skills to explain financial concepts to non-financial colleagues.
