Head of Billing - International Law Firm - Brussels office

Our client is a top international Law Firm, with a reputation for excellence and commitment towards its employees.

As Head of Billing, you will be the main Billing partner for an EU scope (3 countries, 5 offices), assisted by a Billing & Collection department. With an helicopter view, you will :

• Lead a team of 9 Billing Specialists


• Oversee the entire billing and collection process to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payment of clients


• Monitor monthly aging AR reports and take appropriate action to ensure each invoice is paid on time and in full


• Identify opportunities to improve billing efficiency and accuracy and implement strategies to achieve it


• Review and analyze billing and collection data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide accurate reporting and presentations on AR status, metrics


• Build strong relationships across finance as well as practice groups and partners, and follow-up with partners to escalate any billing or collection issues or delays


• Internal Billing audit : develop or maintain billing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal best practices, as well as client requirements

• Bachelor's degree (Finance, Admin, HR or similar)


• At least 4 years of experience managing a Billing / Collection team


• At least 7 years of experience in a Billing / Collection position (or similar)
  



• Fluent in English. Fluency in Dutch, French, Italian and/or German is a non-mandatory asset


• Experience working in a law firm or consultancy environment is a strong asset for this position
  


• Excellent communication and relationship skills : this position is centrally located inside the organization, meaning you'll be in contact with varied stakeholders at multiple levels of hierarchy.
