We offer FaceTicket, an identity-based solution that allows fans to link their face to the ticket and enter the venue with a simple smile. The solution consists of two parts: KYC onboarding (i) and identification at the venue entry (ii). During the KYC process, fans upload their identity document and take a selfie, which is then matched to the photo on their ID. At the venue, a camera equipped with our Android application scans the fan’s face, verifies it against our database, and grants access to those with valid tickets.
This way, clubs know who bought a ticket and who is inside their venue, preventing hooligans from entering as they can validate that the person who purchased a ticket is also the person entering. Thus, we can help them avoid financial penalties for fan misbehavior which can on average amount to €500.000/season, and further matchday revenue losses due to games played without fans.
We validated our solution with all the Belgian Pro League clubs and found a product-market fit in Brazil where we explored market entry possibilities. Importantly, we can scale to any event that sells tickets, even beyond sports.
Our ultimate goal is to create one universal ticket for every event worldwide.
