Are you passionate about payroll and looking for a dynamic role where you can make an impact? Robert Half Talent Solutions, for one of its clients, is seeking a Payroll and HR Officer (m/f/x) to take charge of payroll operations in Belgium and beyond.

Job description

What You'll Be Doing as a Payroll and HR Officer (m/f/x) :

  • Process full-cycle payroll for employees in Belgium, ensuring accurate salary, tax, and benefits calculations (including meal vouchers, health insurance, etc.);
  • Stay current with Belgian payroll regulations and global mobility policies to ensure full compliance;
  • Manage expatriate payroll, addressing complex international taxation and social security matters;
  • Work closely with the Finance team to handle payroll reconciliations;
  • Coordinate payroll for remote employees abroad in partnership with external payroll vendors;
  • Support payroll officers in other countries (UK, Portugal) as needed;
  • Provide expert advice to employees and managers on payroll matters;
  • Oversee mobility-related issues such as work permits, remote work arrangements, and staff employment abroad;
  • Participate in local and international HR projects - there's never a dull moment !

Profile

What We're Looking For our client in Brussels:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree;
  • Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on payroll experience, with strong expertise in Belgian payroll;
  • Familiarity with global mobility concepts, including expatriate taxation and cross-border employment;
  • Proficiency with payroll software; experience with HRIS systems is a plus;
  • In-depth knowledge of Belgian payroll regulations and social security requirements;
  • Strong knowledge of English and French is a must !
