Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary business process owner to develop and maintain policies and procedures for distribution planning practices used globally
  • Establish and lead a global forum of the clients' distribution planning practitioners to drive standardized best practices and allocation policy/outage management systems across corporate divisions and global regions.
  • Lead the development and execution of a continuous improvement roadmap for distribution planning practices
  • Develop corporate-wide distribution planning KPI's, monitor performance, and proactively identify opportunities to gain efficiencies, automate, and continuously improve standardized distribution planning practices. This includes identifying and solutioning distribution planning business challenges, adapting to changing business needs, and troubleshooting issues with existing processes and systems.

Profile

Qualifications:
  • Subject matter expertise in leveraging automated systems to develop time-phased plans for replenishing inventory across distribution networks that optimally balance customer service and cost objectives.
  • Proven experience directly working in distribution planning or associated roles optimizing customer service levels, inventory, and logistics costs.
  • Demonstrated continuous process improvement and project management capability with a proven ability to manage organizational change and drive results.
  • Strong working knowledge of IBP/S&OP processes and exposure to related upstream and downstream demand, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics planning practices.
  • Strong working knowledge as a direct user of advanced supply chain planning platforms (e.g. supply/demand planning automation).
  • Professional distribution and logistics planning certifications such as ASM CLTD or equivalent are highly desirable
