SIMIM is the Belgian collective management organisation (CMO) for the management of music producers' rights. Among our more than 2000 members are well-known music labels such as Sony, Universal, Warner, CNR, N.E.W.S. and [PIAS], as well as smaller labels and artists who produce their own music.

Finance Officer
Job description
As a Finance Officer you report directly to the Finance Director and you are part of the Finance Team. This team is responsible for all financial activities required to keep our company financially healthy and in compliance with applicable regulations. You have a broad range of tasks with room for personal emphasis depending on your experience or personal interests.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Checking and booking of incoming invoices.
- Preparing and following up on outgoing invoices.
- Reading bank transactions and preparing payments.
- Preparing and filing the monthly VAT returns, the annual client list and the withholding tax.
- Processing general journal entries as well as the year-end operations.
- Supporting the Finance Director with the preparation of the annual report, the annual accounts and external reports to e.g., sector federations, FPS Economy and the Executive Board.

Profile
- You have a bachelor's degree in accountancy/taxation or equivalent and a first job experience.
- You are a team player with a sense of responsibility.
- You are eager to learn without losing sight of the result.
- You like to think along with the organization and to contribute to the improvement of processes and systems.
- Being able to work fluently with Excel and the accounting application used is a matter of pride for you.
- You speak Dutch or French and have a good knowledge of the other language. A basic knowledge of English is also required.
- You are precise and thorough when carrying out assignments. Good organization and planning will help you to successfully develop this position.
