This role involves continuous improvement activities and requires the capability to purchase technical parts and challenge suppliers effectively. The Buyer will handle a variety of categories (e.g., motors) and manage multiple projects simultaneously (5-6 projects). Key responsibilities include:
This role involves continuous improvement activities and requires the capability to purchase technical parts and challenge suppliers effectively. The Buyer will handle a variety of categories (e.g., motors) and manage multiple projects simultaneously (5-6 projects). Key responsibilities include:
- Managing Requests for Proposals (RFP) and defining project characteristics in collaboration with the manager.
- Developing a list of qualified suppliers and overseeing technical purchase specifications created by engineers.
- Analysing technical aspects of equipment, the majority of which is non-standard, ensuring technical validation by engineers.
- Negotiating budgets and handling e-bid processes.
Profiel
- To bring technical expertise in purchasing and managing supplier relationships.
- To help handle the increased project load and ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- To enhance the team's capability to manage technical specifications and validate non-standard equipment.
- To start as early as the beginning of August, ensuring no delays in ongoing and upcoming projects.
