Laboratory Technician

Over the years, our client has evolved into one of the largest independent laboratories in the country. Despite this growth, the family atmosphere is still present in every fiber of the company.

For the Screening Team (insect laboratories) at our client, we are looking for two enthusiastic temporary employees. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in an innovative research center where you can truly make a difference.

What will you do?

After thorough training by experienced colleagues, you will become an indispensable part of the team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Organizing and conducting experiments and protocols related to insect screening (such as insect rearing and bioassays).


• Evaluating experiments and seeking advice from your supervisor when needed.


• Recording data in accordance with the company’s standards.


• Working in well-equipped laboratories, greenhouses, and growth chambers.


• Always adhering to (bio)safety regulations and quality standards.

We are looking for someone who...

• Holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a similar field. Don’t have a degree but have experience with, for example, insects or plants? You are also welcome!


• Is driven and precise, with a passion for hands-on work.


• Takes rules seriously and understands why they are essential in a quarantine space.


• Communicates fluently in English (Dutch is a plus, but not a must).


• Has a keen learning attitude – experience is not required, so recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
