CAPEX Manager – Fermentation Products
Our site in Andenne is our biotechnology center, which includes the production of enzymes, yeast extract, liquid and dried sourdough. A wide variety of technologies support our production, such as (partially aseptic) fermentation processes, various separation, filtration and drying techniques, product formulation through dosing and mixing installations, powder handling, and packaging lines. This involves many supporting techniques such as water treatment, CIP, heating and cooling, water purification, HVAC installations and process automation systems. For all our activities, we continuously strive for efficiency and further reduction of water and energy consumption.
Your Mission
As a CAPEX Manager you will be responsible for the prioritization, preparation and realisation of Capital Expenditure projects within agreed timing and budget, in accordance with the Local and Group Operations strategies, objectives and requirements
What will you do?
Project Management
- You will get the opportunity to lead end-to-end Capex projects.
- You define project objectives and scope and gather user requirements.
- You support financial and strategic project approvals.
- You build and manage project teams (internal and external).
- You manage project budget, cash flow, and reporting.
- You consult with authorities and external partners.
- You empower operational teams and organize post-project reviews.
Project Engineering
- You monitor engineering maturity during project preparation.
- You conduct concept screening, feasibility study and basic design.
- You lead tendering and conduct technical negotiations.
- You oversee project detailed design and execution.
- You ensure compliance with Group requirements and legislation.
- You organize and monitor realization on-site.
- You coordinate commissioning and handover.
- You stay informed about industry trends
Profil
- You have a Master’s degree in Biosciences, Bioengineering, Industrial Engineering Biochemistry, Food Technology, or Molecular Biology with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- You have a passion for the food industry, including fermentation, liquid, aseptic, and powder processing.
- You have expertise in liquid and powder processing: mixing, separation, heat transfer, and packing.
- You understand plant utilities (water, electricity, air, steam).
- You have strong project management skills, including knowledge of project lifecycles and financial acumen (P&L, balance sheet, NPV, etc.).
- You are a collaborative team player with analytical problem-solving abilities.
