Management and training
- You will report to the Director of Strategic Transformation. He has a strong knowledge and background in the industry and is an experienced manager with years of experience in the coffee industry. Like all managers at Beyers, his door is open, and his communication is open and direct. He expects you to think and work both analytically and communicatively to take Sustainability to the next level.
- You will work closely with different departments in the local organization and with specialists from Sucafina.
- Your training will be determined based on your knowledge and experience. Of course, we provide the necessary onboarding and introduction to various team members.

What’s your challenge?
As Sustainability Officer you will be responsible for defining & driving the sustainability roadmap and collaborate throughout the organization together with Sucafina. You will partner with a broad set of internal teams including sales, marcom, finance, procurement, R&D, Quality etc… with the goal to embed sustainability into everything we do and ensure the sustainability roadmap is translated into best-in-class projects in order to improve performance over time and achieve our ambition. Exploring external partnerships to achieve greater impact will also be part of what you will need to do.In this role:
As Sustainability Officer you will be responsible for defining & driving the sustainability roadmap and collaborate throughout the organization together with Sucafina. You will partner with a broad set of internal teams including sales, marcom, finance, procurement, R&D, Quality etc… with the goal to embed sustainability into everything we do and ensure the sustainability roadmap is translated into best-in-class projects in order to improve performance over time and achieve our ambition. - You define & manage the sustainability program & its roadmap to realize our ambitions.
- You set & monitor short-term and long-term sustainability goals and translate them into clear KPI’s, perform the follow-up and ensure proper reporting across the company and stakeholders.
- You work hands on to develop, analyze and maintain CSR metrics, scorecards and dashboards to measure and track the success of CSR programs and efforts.
- You maintain and revise our Carbon reduction plan, implementation of SBTi.
- You report to auditing bodies and report / prepare for- and assist to -sustainability related audits (CNG, CO2 Logic, RFA, FT, Ecovadis, Sedex,…).
- You respond to surveys and inquiries from customers and stakeholders.
- You collaborate & educate throughout the organization to embed sustainability in all we do, ensure ambitions are met and our reputation is positively fed.
- You engage with external stakeholders to remain informed on market developments, regulation & new legislation to make sure compliance is achieved and our roadmap is optimized.
- You remain competent and up to date on sustainability best practices through research, continuous learning and training.
- In the field of Corporate Governance, you will manage business risks and govern our entity to execute the business plans based on the management directions and strategy.
Profiel
Who are you?
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of experience in Sustainability management and Corporate Governance.
- You have hands-on knowledge in the area of ESG, CSR, CSDR, CS3D, EUDR, SBTi,…
- You are able to prioritize and meet deadlines, without losing sight on details.
- Excellent interpersonal and project management skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You are strong in communication (verbal, written and presentation skills) in English. Dutch is a nice to have, French is a plus.
- You are able to proactively build relationships and navigate a transversal organization; skilled at collaborating and influencing at various levels of the organization.
