Senior Accountant

Our client is a fast growing company active in the consultancy sector.

As Senior Accountant (m/f/x) you will be responsible for:

• Managing purchase orders (PO) with a proactive approach to ensure timely follow-up;
• Approving project launches by reviewing rates & timelines;
• Verifying client-billed expenses by extracting monthly reports and confirming invoicing accuracy;
• Reviewing timesheets;
• Managing invoicing processes;
• Monitoring expenses, including budget control, graphical analysis, and spending trends;
• Overseeing FAE (Fixed Asset Expenditure) follow-up;
• Generating credit notes based on sales targets;
• Mapping large client accounts;
• Managing contracts via SharePoint;
• Tracking FNP (Final Net Position) follow-up;
• Coordinating with internal subcontracting teams, ensuring alignment with local ADV;
• Managing freelancers;
• Ensuring invoice accuracy and compliance;
• Overseeing penalty checks related to MC2;
• Creating profit centers for new business models and contract types;
• Properly allocating G-codes and profit centers in project and HR records.

Reporting:

• Weekly reporting to the Business Unit (BUD) manager:
• Monitoring missing purchase orders;
• Tracking FAE by client.
• Monthly reporting:
• Comparing MC2 forecast margins with actual margins (including absences);
• Reporting invoicing rates and identifying any missed invoices due to missing PO or timesheets.

The required profile for the Senior Accountant (m/f/x) position:

• Minimum 3 years experience in accounting;
• Master's degree in accounting or related field;
• Ability to work as part of a group accounting team, with expertise in financial closings;
• Good command of Excel, with a logical and rigorous approach to accounting processes;
• In-depth knowledge of financial closing and reporting procedures;
• Ability to adapt to daily challenges and changes in priorities or tasks;
• Good team spirit is essential;
• The person must be open-minded, outgoing and able to maintain clear and constructive communication with colleagues;
• Excellent knowledge in Dutch, with a good command of French or English.
