Our client, a leading global provider in the thin film coatings industry, is seeking an experienced R&D Engineer. This role involves working on innovative projects related to PVD-coating on glass. The client is renowned for its cutting-edge technology and complex products that serve industries such as energy-efficient glass, thin film displays, and solar panels.

Job Responsibilities
- Execute R&D projects focused on PVD-coating on glass, both for customer-specific and internal initiatives.
- Manage projects involving new types of coating, new machines for applying coatings, and new analysis techniques.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop necessary test set-ups, test schedules, and measurement techniques.
- Translate abstract requirements into practical frameworks for project execution.
- Ensure projects progress from conception to 85% completion efficiently and effectively.
Profiel
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Engineering.
- Relevant experience in at least one of the following areas: optical sciences, vacuum technology, material sciences, electrotechnical sciences, or managing and executing R&D projects.
- Strong theoretical background with a practical mindset to solve complex problems.
- Experience with various measurement techniques and methods.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Proactive, hands-on mindset with a strong initiative.
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 10%) is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
