Your Mission Space Refinery is looking for a Project Assistant Hero, the master collaborator, the trusted confidant, the essential wingman to our Build Team. We are in search of an individual who can be the reliable anchor of our Build Lead/Project Manager and Site Manager, ensuring seamless project delivery to our valued clients. We are seeking a hands-on person with a "Swiss-knife" spirit, capable of effortlessly adapting to various tasks and responsibilities. This is a part-time/freelance position with the potential to grow into a full-time role as our projects expand. While a background in design and construction is not mandatory, a genuine passion for our work is essential: designing and building remarkable workspaces for remarkable companies. You will be in charge of:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and developing accurate Bill of Quantities (BoQ) based on design specifications and drawings.
- Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services, ensuring effective subcontractor selection for each project.
- Maintaining and updating our in-house cost estimation price database to ensure accurate and up-to-date pricing information.
- Assisting the project manager on-site with various tasks such as site visits, deliveries, and order follow-up.
- Supporting the project manager with administrative duties, including data compilation, report preparation, and documentation related to site access, health and safety guidelines, and confirming measurements.
Profiel
What skills & experience are important for this position?
- The essentials: valid work permit for Belgium, driving license, and proficiency in English and either Dutch or French (knowledge of other languages is advantageous)
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work, coupled with great organisational skills and excellent analytical skills
- Interest in construction materials, products, and methods
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- This is a part-time freelance position with the potential to grow into a full-time role as our projects expand. You should be able to visit our Brussels office and various construction sites as needed.
- You have a Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, interior design, engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
- You have proven experience in the construction industry and/or as a Project Assistant
- You have AutoCAD knowledge
