Functieomschrijving
In close collaboration with the Marketing Manager, you will define the category vision for your assigned animal family and help shape its strategic direction.Responsibilities:
- Product Management: You will oversee your product range, developing innovative product concepts that align with consumer needs. You will manage the entire product life cycle and proactively propose optimizations to improve the range.
- Product Launches: You will take the lead on new product launches, working cross-functionally with R&D, production, logistics, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure successful execution.
- Point of Contact: You will serve as the go-to person for all product-related inquiries within the organization.
- Market Knowledge: You will build and maintain in-depth market knowledge, identifying trends, tracking market dynamics, and monitoring the competition. Additionally, you will systematically review internal sales data to guide decisions.
- Annual Planning: Together with the Trade Marketing team, you will create and execute an annual plan to promote and support your animal family.
- Brand Activation: You will coordinate, implement, and evaluate all out-of-store communication and activation efforts for your (sub)brands. This will involve working closely with the internal marketing communications team and external creative partners.
- Digital Content: You will manage the digital presence for your animal family, ensuring strong online communication and activation strategies.
- Event Participation: You will actively represent the company at trade fairs and other industry events.
- Team Contribution: Every day, you will contribute to the ongoing professionalization of the marketing team, sharing insights and expertise.
Profiel
- Education: You hold a higher degree in marketing (Master’s in Economics, Commercial Engineering, or similar) or have equivalent experience.
- Affinity with the Animal World: You have experience or a strong connection with the animal industry, particularly in one or more categories such as dogs, cats, rodents, rabbits, horses, or pigeons.
- Relevant Experience: You bring at least 3 years of experience as a Marketing Product Manager, ideally within a consumer food environment, preferably related to pet food or pet accessories.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: You are analytically minded and excel at solving complex problems.
- Language Proficiency: You are an effective communicator, fluent in Dutch, French, and English. Knowledge of German or another language is a plus.
- Eagerness to Learn: You are keen to expand your knowledge, particularly in scientific and nutritional needs related to your animal family.
- Team-Oriented: You enjoy sharing knowledge, working in a team, and are open to collaboration.
- Proactive and Organized: You take initiative, are well-organized, and have a strong sense of responsibility.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: You are drawn to and thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial family business environment.
