Yusen Logistics is working to become the world’s preferred supply chain logistics company and has
branches in The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Sweden. We have about 1000 colleagues working on these locations. We are looking for a new Pricing & Procurement Manager to join our Benelux team.
What’s the job about:
As the Pricing & Procurement Manager Benelux you will be responsible for managing the company’s supply of products and services.
You will be in charge of the analysis of market trends and demands in order to provide competitive solutions to the customers. Responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective deals & suppliers and discovering the best ways to cut procurement expenses, in order for the company to invest in growth and resources.
Main tasks:
• Tender pricing, creation of easy access to pricing, strategic trade lane pricing
• Carrier performance management and carrier analysis
• Market intelligence support
• Data analysis and statistical reporting of the FCL related services
• Proactively build the healthy relationship with carrier stakeholders locally
• Review and measure carrier performance
• Maximize & create opportunity for increasing profits and space protection
• Assess, manage and review the usage of investment funds (SAP), along with management
• Ensure local adherence to global standard operating procedures, workflows, and processes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead sourcing strategies and manage the service TCO.
• Initiate and manage RFIs, RFQs, RFPs and related project plans
• Lead carrier risk management initiatives & continuous improvement and lean activities
Who are we looking for:
• Bachelor level
• Min. 5 years of relevant experience
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written
• Communicative skills
• Experience in – and general knowledge of - logistics minimal required
• Organized
• Result oriented
• Confident & independent
