Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is a subsidiary of Safran Aircraft Engines, based at Brussels Airport (Zaventem, Belgium), specialized in the inspection, maintenance and repair (MRO) of the advanced LEAP jet engines that power the latest generation of the Airbus A320NEO & Boeing B737MAX narrow body families. Our Operations department is currently looking for an OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR:
The Supervisor ensures the proper preparation and follow-up of their team's activities in accordance with the applicable company standards. They manage the distribution of work to achieve the weekly objectives and any priorities communicated by the Operations Shift Manager and/or the Operations Manager.Your role:
- You organize and supervise the work within your team (technical performers: Jet Engine Mechanics, Inspectors, and Repair Operators) alternating between two shifts;
- You provide practical support to the team on the engine or engine sub-assembly using equipment specific to the field of activity;
- You participate in on-the-job team meetings, ensuring problem resolution and continuous improvement of the production process;
- You regularly communicate with the Operations Shift Manager about important matters related to the daily functioning of your team and ensure handover to guarantee the smooth continuity of activities;
- You ensure and verify that safety, hygiene, quality rules and work regulations are properly applied within the company;
- You continuously evaluate the performance and attitude of your team members and provide guidance for continuous improvement;
- You regularly and effectively communicate with support services, management, Safran Group, instructors, and potential subcontractors.
Your profile:
- You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a production environment with team management;
- Secondary education with a technical orientation or equivalent through experience;
- You preferably have knowledge of jet engine maintenance;
- You are familiar with quality systems, internal processes (Part 145), and have a basic knowledge of Safety, Hygiene, and Environment;
- You have knowledge of common software (MS Office, ERP);
- You work in the workshop using a computer for products (parts, engines, modules, tools, etc.) according to your field of activity;
- You have a good command of English French and Dutch.
