Since then, CIVIX has continued to innovate, developing an AI application for the 2024 elections, organizing educational workshops in schools, and hosting events that reconnect young people with political figures, attracting hundreds of participants.

Your Mission
As the Operations Lead at CIVIX, you will manage all the operations of the NGO and work very closely with the CIVIX leadership team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution and expansion of our operational capabilities. Working alongside the board of CIVIX, you will develop strategies, optimize processes, and oversee our daily operations, all while contributing to the strategic growth of CIVIX’s impact in civic engagement and public policy.

Your Mission

CIVIX is currently focused on two major projects:
- Educational Workshops: Organizing workshops in secondary schools to educate young people on voting rights, the political system, and civic responsibilities.
- Policy Consulting: A two-pronged service offering specialized policy advice and addressing recruitment challenges in the public affairs sector at Belgian regional and federal levels. This student-driven model delivers high-quality, affordable consulting while developing a future talent pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Operational Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to ensure the efficient operation and growth of CIVIX’s educational and consulting projects.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of educational workshops and consulting services.
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across all activities.
- Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align operational activities with CIVIX’s goals.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.
- Budget Oversight: Manage the operational budget, ensuring financial responsibility and alignment with organizational priorities.

- Professional Experience: While prior professional experience is not required, we are looking for strong demonstrations of leadership in past roles, such as involvement in student organizations or other extracurricular activities.
- Leadership Potential: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams or groups in academic or volunteer settings.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: French, English, Dutch.
- Residency and Work Permit: Must be a resident and have a valid work permit for Belgium.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills in the required languages.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical skills with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with NGOs: Previous experience in non-profit operations or youth engagement initiatives.
- Interest in Public Affairs: A deep and demonstrated interest in public affairs, with a particular focus on Belgian regional and federal levels.
- Interest in Politics: A strong interest in civic engagement, particularly within the Belgian political context at regional and federal levels.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with digital tools for project management and team collaboration.
