- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company objectives.
- Manage and optimize the entire logistics function, including warehousing and distribution.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring the best terms and conditions, while safeguarding consistent quality, in-time delivery , and the technical requirements for the goods and services purchased
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
- Lead and mentor a team of purchasing and logistics professionals.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Oversee budget preparation and cost management for the purchasing and logistics departments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
- Oversee compliance with public procurement regulations, ensuring all purchasing activities meet legal and ethical standards.
- Degree or experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience in a technical purchasing environment is an asset
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in Dutch and English is required.
- Knowledge of public procurement legislation or a willingness to learn and stay updated on the regulations.
