The ICT Support Engineer Level 2 provides advanced technical support and expertise to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and services. This role involves troubleshooting complex issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and supporting end-users across various platforms, including Windows, Linux, and cloud-based environments. The role is critical for delivering high-quality ICT services and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization. Key Responsibilities Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Resolve escalated technical issues from Level 1 support, including hardware, software, and network-related problems.
Provide remote and on-site support to users across the organization.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux environments.
System Administration
Perform routine maintenance, updates, and backups for servers, workstations, and network devices.
Configure, monitor, and manage IT systems, ensuring compliance with security and operational policies.
Support virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions.
Network Support
Assist in maintaining network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN configurations.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Project Support
Collaborate on IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
Participate in designing and implementing IT solutions to meet business requirements.
Documentation & Training
Document solutions, procedures, and system configurations in detail.
Provide training and guidance to Level 1 support staff and end-users.
Customer Service
Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring timely resolution of incidents and effective communication with stakeholders.
Profiel
Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills
Proficiency in Windows Server administration Toon nummer(2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory.
Solid knowledge of Linux systems and command-line tools.
Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network device configuration.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM).
Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash) for automation and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch or French proficiency is a plus).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience in IT support, including at least 1 year in a Level 2 capacity.
Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, RHCSA).
