As the Export Sales Manager, you play a key role within the company. You focus on the sales of frozen viennoiseries, initially mainly targeting the Eastern European market. You lead the development of strategy and represent the company in a professional and dynamic manner to (potential) clients.
Your responsibilities as Export Sales Manager:
Strategic Sales Development:
- Develop and implement strategic business plans for export markets.
- Create marketing plans, together with the marketing department, to achieve maximum sales growth and profitability.
- Build and strengthen client relationships with purchasing managers and business leaders within key accounts.
- Analyze and define products by market/region.
- Identify opportunities for product improvements or new product development in collaboration with the NPD (New Product Development) team.
People Management:
- You will be responsible for managing 2 people based abroad.
Price Negotiations:
- Negotiate and manage sales prices and other sales conditions.
- Responsible for P&L and margin in assigned regions and channels.
Sales Forecasting:
- Enter and monitor sales forecasts.
- Prepare quarterly estimates and annual budgets for the region, analyze variances, and implement necessary measures.
Ensuring Customer Satisfaction:
- Maintain healthy relationships with customers by providing support, information, and guidance.
- Inform management and relevant departments about critical issues related to products, pricing, and delivery, and provide recommendations/alternatives.
- Define and confirm customer specifications, in close collaboration with the Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain departments, to ensure sales conditions and customer satisfaction.
Profiel
- Master's degree in Business/Economics/Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Business Development and Export Sales.
- Strong background in sales to major retail and foodservice accounts.
- Fluent in Dutch, French, and English (excellent spoken and written).
- An experienced people manager, a team player who ensures that the team enjoys coming to work every day.
- Proficient in using common office software and SAP applications.
- Hands-on mentality and always looking for process optimizations.
