Legal Advisor - Insurance - Brussels
Functieomschrijving
As a Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for analyzing specific issues related to fire and theft insurance, and more broadly, non-life insurance (IARD/BOAR) and the associated legislation. You will:
- Identify emerging trends and themes in these areas that could be relevant for the insurance sector.
- Coordinate various consultative meetings with insurance companies on these topics.
- Develop sectoral positions in collaboration with different divisions and departments.
- Provide legal advice aimed at defending the best interests of the profession.
- Act as a representative and ambassador at various consultation and decision-making bodies.
- Support the communication department with specific issues related to fire and theft insurance.
- Build a network of key contacts within the insurance industry.
- Collaborate on projects of importance to the professional association.
Profiel
- Belgian Master degree in Law
- Proven experience in the insurance sector, particularly in non-life insurance
- Excellent command of Dutch and French, and proficiency in English
- Eager to learn and continuously develop professionally
- Strong analytical skills
- Open-minded with excellent conciliation and negotiation skills
- Client-oriented
