As a Customs Officer, you play a key role at Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels. You ensure that our organization remains compliant with customs legislation, strategic goods regulations, and AEO certification.
Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is a subsidiary of Safran Aircraft Engines, based at Brussels Airport (Zaventem, Belgium), specialized in the inspection, maintenance and repair (MRO) of the advanced LEAP jet engines that power the latest generation of the Airbus A320NEO & Boeing B737MAX narrow body families. The company is a key player in the integrated CFM international MRO network. With more than 75 years of experience, and up to 20 international Part 145 certifications (EASA/ FAA/ CAAC/ …), Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is recognized as a worldwide center of expertise in the air transport industry. Your role:
As a Customs Officer, you play a key role at Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels. You ensure that our organization remains compliant with customs legislation, strategic goods regulations, and AEO certification. Your responsibilities include:
- Process Management: You coordinate and optimize all customs processes from A to Z.
- Compliance Expert: You ensure the correct application of customs legislation and oversee the timely renewal of licenses and permits.
- Networking: You proactively maintain contacts with customs authorities, government agencies, and external partners.
- Reporting: You are responsible for accurate reporting and statutory declarations.
- Team Player: You work closely with the Safran customs platform and provide support wherever necessary
Profiel
logistics. You bring:
- A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant work experience and in-depth knowledge of customs legislation and logistics processes (road and air freight).
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch, French, and English.
- Strong IT skills, including experience with Excel.
- A diplomatic, efficient, and driven attitude.
