Chief Accountant - Chemical sector - Flemish Brabant

For one of our clients, a Belgian dynamic company active internationally in the chemical sector, we are currently looking for a Chief Accountant in order to support their development.The company has 25 years of experience and is growing fast. Today, they count around 70 employees in 10 countries with a 200m? revenue. In Belgium, their office count 15 people.Their headquarters are located in the Flemish Brabant.

Chief Accountant - Chemical sector - Flemish Brabant As the Chief Accountant, you will manage a team of 6 accountants (based locally & remote) and will be responsible for the A to Z Accounting for the Group.Your main tasks consist in :

• Managing the accounting team composed of 6 accountants (AP, AR, GL) based locally & internationally


• Supervising the A to Z accounting activities for the group


• Being in charge of the monthly closing activities for all the group entities (including the depreciations, provisions, salaries)


• Being responsible for the group consolidation in IFRS


• Preparing the financial statements


• Managing the local & internation VAT (import / export)


• Preparing the financial reports


• Being the point of contact for the external auditor


• Acting as Process Owner of the financial workflow and participating to the optimization of financial processes.

Chief Accountant - Chemical sector - Flemish Brabant The ideal Chief Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• Holding a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Master's degree in Business / Management / Economics


• 5-10 years of accounting experience with international exposure (transfer pricing, import, export)


• Having a good knowledge of the BEGAAP and IFRS


• Having a first people management experience


• Being fluent in English with the knowledge of French and / or Dutch


• Having strong Excel skills. Knowledge of Power BI is a plus
