Business Intelligence Project Analyst

Company Overview: Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) officially represents the Antwerp diamond industry. AWDC promotes the entire diamond sector, both domestically and internationally, and is recognized globally as a meeting place, spokesperson, and mediator for the Belgian diamond community. AWDC is looking, for immediate employment, for a driven Business Intelligence Project Analyst with a knack for data, to support Industry Relations projects and initiatives. Job Description:

• Market & Project Analysis:
• Collection and analysis of project specific data, tracking progress, identifying potential issues, and supporting decision-making processes with quantitative insights.

• Research, identify and translate (macro-)economic conditions relevant for the diamond industry to assess and develop potential opportunities.

• Gather and analyze financial, economic, social, and geographical data related to the diamond sector.
• Explore new markets through research (and prospection) aimed at identifying new supply streams of rough diamonds and sales markets for polished diamonds from Antwerp.

· Commercial Initiatives:

• Develop commercial initiatives for existing and new markets to strengthen Antwerp’s market share in rough and polished diamonds in collaboration with the Industry Relations Department, for example assisting and facilitating the set up of group participation at major diamond trade events.

• Build and maintain strong relationships within the Antwerp diamond community and the international diamond industry, including relevant stakeholders in diamond-producing countries and trade fair organizers.
  
  

• Strategic Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze and interpret data under the guidance of the Senior Management to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.

• Prepare detailed reports and strategic insights for various departments.

• Participate in strategic discussions, providing contextual data and analysis.

Profile and Competences:

• Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree with an economic and/or financial focus with 3 to 5 years of work experience in Business Development and/or intelligence, preferably in an international context. Experience in data interpretation is a plus.
• Knowledge of and experience in the luxury- and/or global diamond industry are a big plus
  
  

• Skills and Abilities:

• Commercial, creative, and result-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills

• Strong analytical skills and affinity for data with good knowledge of data processing.

• Excellent verbal and written English and Dutch skills, good verbal French skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, knowledge of other statistical software is a plus

• Eye for detail while not losing sight of overarching goals and milestones for certain projects
• Able to meet short deadlines and work under pressure.

• Ability to work independently but also be a team player with a passion for building and maintaining relationships in diverse environments.
• Prepared totravel abroad.
