Business Controller in Brussels - FMCG sector

The international FMCG company is a worldwide leader in its market.

The Business Controller will enter a strong and dynamic team with 4 enthusiast colleagues with whom to grow and evolve.

Entering the Finance department, the Business Controller will manage one strong Business Unit as well as work on broader internal projects. The interactions are various, from the finance division, to the commercials and the operations.

As Business Controller, you will have the opportunity to work in pairs with the Business Unit Manager and have the lead on the financial management of the structure. First point of contact for the Management and the Direction.

The main responsibilities include:

• Management of the full and global P&L of the BU, cash flow statement, balance sheet (turnover, margin, stocks, .)


• Definition and preparation of financial and operational KPI's to support the different departments


• Preparation and management of Budget & Forecast. Analysis and challenges of the different BU / Product / Region numbers


• Preparation of monthly business reviews and reporting to the management


• Participation in different transverse projects (improvement of reporting tools, process development, internal control development, .)

The Business Controller, based in Brussels, will have a transverse role and the possibility to work on different financial topics, being exposed to lots of different stakeholders.

As such, the controller will present a certain set of hard and soft skills:

• Master's degree in finance / economics - Or equivalent


• At least 2/3 years in a similar financial field (eg. Controlling and/or External audit)


• Fluent in Dutch and English - French is a strong added value


• Experience and knowledge in Power BI, Excel and the Office Suite


• You are analytical and solution oriented


• You have excellent communication skill


• You are proactive and are not afraid to go out of your comfort zone. You will be able to have direct contact with every departments allowing you to have a great understanding of the whole business
