Sales Manager
Specialty Feed Additives – Central & Eastern Europewho will be responsible for sales and further business development of our technical solutions in the target countries, together with our international team in Belgium. You will be the commercial point-of-contact with nutritionists and purchasers of compound feed and premix companies, and the promotor of our specialty feed additives in your target region.
Impextraco is a leading manufacturer and supplier of ingredients for the global animal feed industry, based in Heist-op-den-Berg (Belgium). In its specialty feed additives division, Impextraco formulates and produces innovative solutions to raise healthy animals for the production of high-quality food. Impextraco is a family-owned and active since 5 generations in agribusiness, the company serves over 90 countries out of its offices in Europe, Brazil, Mexico, Nigeria, China and Thailand.
Your responsibilities:
In close collaboration with our technical support and product managers, you will further develop our business in your target region.
- You are responsible for current sales and the development of new sales opportunities for our specialty feed additives (performance enhancers, acidifiers, mycotoxin eliminators, (natural) antioxidants, natural antibiotic replacers, specialty minerals…) in your target region.
- You build up a good relationship and deep customer understanding with (potential) key customers. You regularly visit customers and give updates on market information, new product developments such as in vivo trials, and new product launches etc.
- You take the lead to organise business meetings, where the product managers accompany you in the field for key customers.
- You work target-oriented to reach commercial objectives. You investigate thoroughly the local feed (additive) market and playing field in your target countries and help build a structured strategy based on market segmentation and opportunities.
- You report on sales and customer visits via our reporting tool and report to management.
- You take part in sales meetings with our international sales team and discuss on latest developments, marketing campaigns and sales figures. You communicate internally on what is necessary to further develop business with customers.
- You attend international and local fairs to represent our company and proactively keep on top of latest developments in the markets so that this will make a positive contribution to your sales activities. You bring in new product suggestions to our R&D team.
- You attract new business partners or potential distributors in foreign markets.
Your profile and key factors for success?
- You are commercially driven, with a good commercial instinct and a winner mentality.
- You are communicative and have good interpersonal skills. You are aware of cultural differences.
- You have a proactive attitude in approaching new and existing relations.
- You enjoy visiting customers, sales, and business development. You are willing to travel in your region (around 40-50%).
- You can work independently and proactively combined with a healthy team spirit.
- You can thrive in a competitive and technically complex market, and have a good knowledge of animal rearing, and feed additives.
- You have relevant experience in the sales of functional feed ingredients in animal nutrition. You can build on your experience in the animal nutrition sector and can further extend your network.
- You have a minimum of 5 years commercial experience in the industry
- You have a relevant degree in veterinary medicine/sciences, bioengineering, animal sciences, agricultural engineering, or similar, with a good commercial instinct – or business degree with a good technical proficiency.
- You are proficient in English, and at least one other local European language (German, Danish, Polish…). Additional languages are considered a plus.
