Mechanical Buyer

Your Role:

• Conduct sourcing activities to identify potential new suppliers.
• Prepare and send Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to selected suppliers.
• Negotiate and secure the best commercial and technical terms with suppliers.
• Ensure the quality of purchased items in collaboration with the Supplier Development Engineers team.
• Secure and build up suppliers' production capacities.
• Identify critical parts, organize technical reviews, and conduct post-mortem analyses with suppliers.
• Implement collaborative actions to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with R&D, engineering, system owners, and the entire manufacturing and supply chain teams.
• Provide feedback to the R&D team regarding technological advancements available in the market.
• Lead regular meetings with your dedicated Procurement Associate and Supplier Development Engineer (SDE) to track issues, action plans, and improvements related to your purchased commodities.
• Define, approve, and implement sourcing strategies for your product categories.

• A Master degree in mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes, welding processes, coating processes are a must
• A first experience (minimum 3 years) in the purchasing of high-tech equipment based on technical specifications and technical drawings
• Knowledge of MS Office and SAP (MM)
• Excellent negotiation, networking and persuasion skills
