Value Chain Officer

Voor één van de belangrijkste producenten en leveranciers van voedingsgrondstoffen zoeken we een Value Chain Officer.

• Supervise and monitor the entire value chain from wheat purchased from the farmer to flour sold to the customer. With the focus on risk management and financial optimization.
• Optimize day-to-day raw material recipes in order to ensure maximum valorization of quality deviations in incoming raw materials.
• Optimize long term production recipes and make proposals on the contracting of corresponding purchasing positions.
• Supervise the value chain of by-products in order to ensure maximum valorization.
• Monitor physical positions to identify P&L risks and opportunities. Generate returns through arbitraging of these physical positions.
• Optimize allocation of sales contracts to plants, taking in to account raw materials costs, logistics costs and optimization of plant capabilities.
• Assist in the determination of standard recipes for costing and pricing and report on variances.
• Participate in risk meetings.
• Perform ad hoc calculations in relation to strategic and investment decisions.
• Assist in the integration of acquisitions and realization of synergies in the value chain.
• Participate in the development of AI-tools which should accelerate decision-making and increase profitability.
• Work in close cooperation with the Operations, Purchasing and Quality Departments.
• Overall, you play a crucial role in driving operational excellence, enhancing competitiveness, and ensuring the long-term success of the organization
