The future company will offer mineral solutions to industries worldwide, currently serving mainly the paper and cardboard markets, with annual sales of around ?350 million in 2023, this business will employ around 1,000 people.
Quality & Control Technician

The Quality & Control Technician f/m/d carries out range of pigment testing in accordance with Imerys Approved Test Methods, Health & Safety and Quality procedures. This person will also calibrate the lab equipment and will be responsible for the Quality and ISO Policies and audit. This positions is open in Antwerp (Belgium) and will ask to exchange in English, Flemish or French.
The following missions will be yours :
- Perform pigment tests per Imerys' methods and safety procedures.
- Coordinate calibration and maintenance of lab equipment.
- Conduct weekly quality checks on mineral products and truck cleanliness.
- Maintain documentation for ISO audits and quality certifications.
- Prepare and send Certificates of Analysis (COA) to customers.
- Manage Valdo and slurry production and stocks.
- Handle sample requests and dispatch.
- Assist logistic coordinator with rail and road documentation.
- Investigate quality complaints.
- Create sales orders and organize transport logistics.
Profiel
We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of related experience in or dealing with the neighboring functions of Customer Service (Sales/Sales Admin, Supply Chain & Logistics, Production, Finance). You have developed the following skills :
- Experience in service and logistics in an international environment
- You have an advantage in understanding and engaging people from neighboring functions of Customer Service
- Deep knowledge of customer journey improvement to drive customer centricity
- Customer focus and service orientation,
- Ability to challenge the status quo and being result oriented
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to clearly communicate ideas and recommended action and to present at senior level
- Fluent in English, German and/or French
- Knowledge of CRM system (Salesforce), software like Qualtrics or SAP
