About the job
The Key Supplier Operations Lead will drive supplier performance and contribution at the site level aligned with Sanofi Procurement and M&S GBU strategy (at site level). She/He will operate on 3 key missions:
Fill the pipeline with initiatives which will support the site in delivering its target of materials (direct) and services (indirect) cost reduction. In particular for all initiatives that will required site resources, will define an action plan and steer the implementation.
Improving site competitiveness by leveraging supplier performance: Monitor and define in alignment with the site roadmap, the objective and necessary actions/improvement to meet this objective.
Main responsibilities
Ideation & prioritization in alignment with the site’s performance external spend target:
- Lead value added improvement related to 3rd party material & expenses
- Collect and leverage relevant site data to build business cases and allow projects impact & feasibility evaluation
- Assess opportunities potential (internal and/or from suppliers’ suggestions) by gathering site’s stakeholder to build opportunity business cases
- Align with site leadership team the opportunities prioritization and their integration into the site’s roadmap to guarantee manpower, asset availabilities and fundings.
Execution:
- Coordinate all the functions required at site (Regulatory, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, MSAT, SMS) to roll out external spend initiatives through a TIP (Tactical Implementation Plan approach).
- Manage the execution on time of the action plans for all initiatives agreed related to supplier
- Drive the site material’s cost savings pipeline ensuring the achievement of the proposed targets and P&L impact in alignment with Finance.
- Deploy and implement Global Projects and Initiatives aiming supplier & material optimization in alignment with the proposed Global roadmap and priorities.
Improving site competitiveness (TCO), by leveraging supplier performance:
- In alignment with procurement define the scope of key global and local supplier for the site
- Monitor and report key site’s suppliers’ performance for Quality and Delivery contracted in collaboration with procurement and in alignment with GBU’s and site’s CBNs, define suppliers’ performance objectives and roadmap.
- In case of Quality or Delivery events, act as an ambassador with Procurement, Supply and Quality to ensure SMS methodology is used to identify root cause and address them with vendors.
- Lead claims financial process impact on site.
Profiel
About you
Candidates with a mixed Supplier Relationship/Operations Leadership background could be a very good fit. Prior exposure to industrial affairs in an operational role, and/or experience in performance improvement/ transformation projects is a plus.
EDUCATIONS/EXPERIENCES:
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a Pharma/Bio setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Biology, Pharmacy, Chemistry or other similar relevant disciplines
COMPETENCIES:
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills, especially in a cross-functional context & Robust project management skills (incl. planning).
- Able to develop comprehensive workable solutions incorporating the constraints and inputs from all functions in complex situations.
- Ability to quickly draw the big picture and solve problems: understand quickly the key issues at stake for the different functions and develop workable solutions accordingly.

- Ability to maneuver in cross-functional setups and to generate buy-in across different stakeholders.
- Driver of change: willing to challenge “conventional” thinking.
