We are looking for a Sous-Chef for our new takeout restaurant in Ghent.

Our client offers modern Indian flavors, traditional street dishes, vibrant BBQ dishes inspired by the tandoor, and an Indian twist on classic cocktails.

We have restaurants in Antwerp, Ghent, and Brussels, and we prioritize service and hospitality to provide an unforgettable experience for every customer.

 

As a Sous-Chef, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the kitchen team.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Organize workload, provide guidelines and instruct the rest of the team.
  
• Arrange and delegate daily & weekly mise-en-place.
  
• Supervise the maintenance of the restaurant kitchen, foods, and all equipment.
  
• Make kitchen staff planning.
  
• Operate a smooth and efficient service and handover to the next shift.
  

 

To succeed in this role:

• You have at least 5 years of experience as a cook/chef.
  
• You are passionate about cooking.
  
• You have a good level of English.
  
• You have strong communication and leadership skills.
  
• You can work efficiently under pressure.
