DevOps Engineer with a passion for the leisure sector!
The job in a nutshell As a DevOps Engineer, you will work in a team that manages and maintains a scale-able, fault tolerant, high performing distributed infrastructure. You consider quality as a priority and make sure that our infrastructure is designed according to our users’ needs and always up & running.
- You'll setup and improve the application monitoring, coaching the development teams how they can monitor their components and services themselves;
- You continuously monitor the infrastructure to get an idea on how the applications are performing.
- You'll set up, maintain and own the CI/CD pipeline together with the rest of your team;
- You work closely with developers, coaching them for setting up their build and test pipelines;
- You create deployment strategies with industry best practices to assure a fault tolerant deployment throughout the whole pipeline;
- You continuously improve tools, code and techniques in order to optimize the build and release automation;
- You keep your technical knowledge and competences up-to-date;
- You manage cloud-based tools like Atlassian stack to support the other departments.
- You create your own web applications to automate daily tasks for other colleagues
Profiel
- You hold a high-level IT degree or have gained the same level of expertise by experience.
- At least 2 years' experience in software development (preferred .NET).
- Experience with at least 1 cloud software project.
- Skilled in automating build pipelines (using Jenkins).
- You have knowledge within one or more of the following domains or willing to learn:
Containerized environments (docker) and their orchestration Shell, Bash, Python, Powershell scripting Pipeline as a code using Terraform Amazon Web Services (AWS) Automated builds using Jenkins Monitoring tools like Grafana, Datadog Databases (MySql, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MongoDB) Source control systems like GIT .NET Web Applications (C#)
- Knowledge of a service-oriented architecture (micro-services) is a plus.
- Knowledge of using / administrating Atlassian stack is a plus.
- Open to support an on-call system to support 24x7 ( rotation basis with colleagues ).
- Good analytical, problem-solving and research skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel.
- Can communicate clearly in Dutch and English, both verbally as in writing.
