We are currently seeking a Claims Handler to join our team in Melsele, Belgium. This position is responsible for claim handling within the Benelux region and back-up support for Germany (Switzerland).
What’s the job about:
In this position you are responsible for the handling of different types of claims.
Main tasks:
• Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding claims.
• Handle claims efficiently and in line with company insurance policies within the Benelux region. Provide back-up support for claim handling in Germany (and Switzerland).
• Process claims in a timely manner and prepare monthly claims reports within given deadlines.
• Assist the Head of Insurance, Claims, and Legal (ICL) with insurance-related matters and archiving of insurance documents.
• Support contract management and central archiving processes under the guidance of the Head of ICL.
• Identify potential risks and ensure adherence to global standards and policies for risk mitigation.
• Organize registration of nonconformity events and collaborate on corrective and preventive actions.
Who are we looking for:
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 2 years of experience in logistics or an administrative position, with experience in claims handling being a strong asset. • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a hands-on mindset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus.
• Knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics processes.
• Experience in interacting with management and supporting decision-making processes.eeds;
• Demonstrates openness to new ideas; comes up with useful ideas to improve the way we do things.
