Sales Engineer / Business Developer North-America

• You are a member of the Marketing and Sales division of DRANCO nv, based in our Ghent offices and report to the Head Marketing & Sales;
• During the first months of employment, you are systematically introduced to the specific know-how of the company;
• Your prime focus is the North-American market, but you may also be active in the European, Asian and other markets;
• You dimension and pre-design DRANCO plants and prepare proposals for our clients. Where necessary, you appeal to your colleagues for the necessary information about processes, costs, ..... • You explain and defend DRANCO proposals to the potential clients and consultants;
• You take potential clients to existing DRANCO plants in operation (for now in Europe and Asia);
• You attend fairs and exhibitions (worldwide) in the waste treatment field to present and promote the DRANCO technologies. You follow-up market evolutions in our sector and have an advisory role in the development of new in-house technologies and a commercial role in marketing these technologies;
• Your responsibilities in the tasks described hereabove grow rapidly. You get operational responsibility for DRANCO Inc. In function of the evolution of the market and potential orders, you set up a techno-commercial team in North-America.
Profil
• Master’s degree, preferably in (bio)-engineering with a commercial-technical background; • Fluent in English, preferably fluent in Dutch as well. Other languages (French, German, Spanish,...) are definitely an added value and encouraged for working in an international context;
• Experience in working in North-America and/or interacting with North-American clients and companies;
• Be willing to travel frequently to North-America (both shorter 1 week trips as well as longer stays of multiple weeks to a few months);
• Strong communication skills;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be stress resistant;
• Ability to set-up a techno-commercial team in North-America in the coming years;
• Strong commitment and flexibility;
• Good knowledge of common MS office applications; • Preferably a familiarity with basic technologies for (organic) waste treatment.
