SAP Data Migration, Synchronisation & Data Governance Architect
Description de la fonction
At SNCB/NMBS we want to become data-driven. We strive to make data a shared asset giving all stakeholders a common view of the company. We provide users with the tools they need to analyse and explore data, and generate insights that improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
As a SAP Data Migration & Synchronization Architect you will help us make our upcoming move to S/4HANA a success. Your contribution will allow us to start our journey with the best possible data and you will make sure we keep the right pace and objectives in focus, to ensure smooth go-lives. Later, your role will be instrumental to ensure Ypto and the NMBS/SNCB continue to reap the benefit of our investments in data both in S/4HANA and in connected systems.
Key responsabilities:
Coordinate the efforts of preparing our data in SAP Business Suite and connected systems (SuccessFactors, Ariba, FI-CA, CRM,..) for the move to the new ERP solution (S/4HANA with a number of SAP Satellite solutions) by collaborating with Domain Architects, Business Area Leads, and both technical and functional teams;
Help our SAP teams and business to work on data cleansing and data quality in view of the move to the new ERP solution;
Validate the plan of the System Implementation partner in terms of data migration and data synchronization strategies, and report to the program leadership in this regard;
Work with functional and technical colleagues to execute the data migration to the new ERP landscape, alongside the System Implementation Partner's teams;
Validate the actual execution by the functional teams and SIs of the data migration, and report to the program leadership in this regard;
Work with the System Implementation and Run partners for data synchronisation of the SAP data to the legacy applications and coordinate the smooth operation of all interfaces and data extractors with the SAP teams;
Organise lessons learned for a next migration project and ensure that the organisation learns;
Collaborate with the System Implementation Partner to organize and coordinate the data loads within the move to the new ERP landscape.
Once the move to S/4HANA is complete, work with the SAP Data Governance Architect to maintain the data consistency across SAP and connected applications.
As a SAP Data Governance Architect you are responsible for setting the organization on the right track for optimal data governance in SAP. You will collaborate in the development of data models for all data objects in S/4HANA, as well as lead the effort to define the procedures around data management and data quality, within the new ERP landscape (S/4HANA plus satellites) transformation and beyond.
Key responsabilities:
Propose data governance procedures to be applied to SAP data objects, in a way that is compatible with the overall data governance organization of SNCB/NMBS and that allows the organization to leverage the fresh start of the upcoming transformation projects;
Contribute to the definition of the SNCB's data governance framework by collaborating with the overall SNCB Data Governance Lead and Architects, incorporating the SAP Teams' point of view;
Communicate the SNCB's data governance framework to the SAP community of SNCB and facilitate the SNCB Data Governance Lead's team in organizing the right training and support initiatives;
Gather the input of the SAP community and more specifically of the Data Migration specialists and of the MDG team with regards to all aspects of data governance (including data definitions and link with business process management, data quality and data cleansing), both in relation to day to day business and in relation to the new ERP landscape implementation;
Collaborate with the System Implementation Partner (QA and QC role) to ensure the data governance and data quality procedures and practices that will be or are being implemented are fully compatible and aligned with the defined governance;
Oversee the data management and data quality of all data objects that are not directly managed in MDG and collaborate with the MDG team to ensure a consistent way of working and maintain a high level of data quality across all SAP solutions;
Define useful KPI's for data in SAP in order to measure the effectiveness of the implemented framework;
Lead and advise other SAP professionals to solve any data issues that might arise, especially if cross-functional and cross-object. Report to Domain Architects and Business Area Leads on data issues and resolutions;
Propose improvements on data literacy and provide trainings where/when needed and implement them with the help of the overall SNCB Data Governance Lead's team;
Ensure the collaboration between the SAP teams and the data specialists of non-SAP applications to ensure SAP data can be consumed within the broader Data Governance framework (quality measurements & improvements, data cleansing ..) and SAP-based data can be trusted and consumed downstream;
Once the move to S/4HANA is complete, work with the SAP Data Migration and Synchronization Architect to maintain the data consistency across SAP and connected applications.
