The position includes technical support within the Electrification Institute, specifically for the research groups ELCAT, PLASMANT and ElectrifHY, in building their reactors and connection with (HV) power supplies. These groups are performing world-class research in the field of sustainable chemistry by electrochemistry, plasma technology and other electrified reactors, e.g., for CO2 conversion to renewable fuels and green H2 production.You will support the Institute in:
- Purchase, installation and maintenance of equipment (and components) in the labs, among others, electrochemical, plasma and other electrified reactors and high voltage generators;
- Technical training and guidance of bachelor, master and PhD students and postdocs in using these reactors and high voltage generators;
Specific tasks:
- You help with the design and construction of these reactors and tailor-made experimental set-ups, with main focus on the electrical equipment.
- You work out the risk and safety analyses for working with electrified reactors and high voltage;
