Midcap and large corporates, governments and financial companies regularly use syndicated bank loans or direct funding in the capital market through bond issues for their financing. These activities are undergoing continued strong growth.

As a Manager Loans & Debts Market in KBC Securities' Loan & Debt Markets team, you will focus on syndicated bank loan structuring. These are loans for substantial amounts which are granted to companies by several national or international banks acting together. They are used among other things to finance general corporate operations and for specific strategic projects such as the completion of an acquisition or large-scale investments.

Increasingly, sustainability requirements are linked to this form of financing - in conjunction with the company's sustainability strategy - or the financing is set up specifically for well-defined 'green' investment projects.

Job description


  • As Manager Loans & Debts Market, you will use your knowledge in the field of corporate finance and your customer focus to build on KBC's strong franchise in syndicated loans. You will do this in close collaboration with the colleagues in your team. In this way, you contribute to the financing of important projects that help ensure the sustainable growth of our key corporate clients.

  • Together with your colleagues from the Corporate Banking offices, you will look for new financing opportunities for existing and new clients in Belgium and other European countries. You will acquire new mandates for KBC in syndicated lending and will also work with our ESG team in green or sustainable lending projects.

  • Together with your colleagues from the Syndication Desk at KBC London and the KBC Securities ESG team, you will coordinate the setting up of new loans:

    • You will structure, defend and negotiate commercial proposals with potential corporate clients.

    • You will play a coordinating role in relation to the other parties involved, such as the other lending banks, relevant advisers and the client.

    • You will also coordinate the associated funding documentation process, working closely with internal lawyers and external law firms and consultants.



  • You will build a strong network among clients, law firms and financial consultants, as well as internally within KBC Securities and KBC Bank, including the Corporate Banking offices and KBC Bank's international branches.
