Head of Tax ad interim

Job description

The Head of Tax manages a team of four and oversee all tax-related activities, ensuring compliance and optimization across the group. This role requires deep expertise in the real estate sector, as well as experience in M&A, tax reporting under IFRS and local GAAP, and SAP implementation. Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Reporting: Oversee the preparation and review of current and deferred tax calculations for financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP. Ensure the accurate and compliant representation of tax positions.
  • Tax Audits & Litigations: Manage tax audits, resolve disputes, and oversee any litigation processes, ensuring favorable outcomes for the company.
  • Transfer Pricing & Tax Policy: Design and implement transfer pricing policies and a comprehensive tax operating model that aligns with the group's strategic objectives.
  • Global Tax Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with tax obligations in various jurisdictions, staying updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Group Restructuring: Lead tax-related aspects of group restructuring projects, including mergers, acquisitions, liquidations, and reorganizations, ensuring tax efficiency and compliance.
  • Tax Budgeting & Forecasting: Contribute to the preparation of the tax budget and forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • SAP Implementation: Assist with the integration of tax processes in SAP, ensuring the system supports accurate and efficient tax reporting and compliance.

Profile

Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in a senior tax role within the real estate sector.
  • Strong expertise in IFRS and local GAAP tax reporting, including current and deferred taxes.
  • Proven track record in managing tax audits, litigations, and M&A transactions.
  • In-depth knowledge of transfer pricing policies and tax operating models.
  • Experience with SAP implementation and integration from a tax perspective.
  • Ability to manage a team and collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments.
  • Strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset, with the ability to navigate complex tax environments.
