Process Analyst Purchasing & Transportation

USG Professionals is looking for a Process Analyst for our client in the Antwerpen. This can be either as a USG Project Consultant or on a Freelance basis!

Department: P&T Excellence
As Purchasing & Transportation, we are the preferred reference and strategic partner to the business by providing (indirect) procurement, warehousing, transport and trade compliance services enabled by a streamlined organization, skilled and motivated people, efficient standardized processes and suitable technologies.

Within the P&T-department , The P&T Excellence team aspires to become a worldwide strategic partner for all P&T departments and P&Ts internal customers within the Business Units (BUs) throughout the globe.

For the P&T excellence Team we are looking for a Process Analist to join the team.

Primary Tasks and responsibilities ?
The Transport organization of Umicore is going through an important window of opportunity with the upcoming upgrade to SAP S4H. This will bring unity in Transport processes supported by SAP TM.
The Process Analyst is responsible for analyzing, documenting, and optimizing business processes.
This role supports process owners by providing data-driven insights and recommendations for process improvements.
He/She will work on the project JUMP and possible other projects after a while.
The JUMP project is the transfer from inhouse custom developped applications towards the SAP TM ERP-system.



  • Analyse existing business processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and areas for optimization
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather process-related data and document current and future-state processes
  • Develop and maintain the blueprint and linked process maps and documentation
  • Ensure that all process improvements are well-documented and align with industry best practices to ensure the right technological solution is developed
  • Identify improvement opportunities, either changing process to standard functionality or managing change requests to the technical solution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT, Finance, and HR, to ensure smooth implementation of process changes
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to understand business needs, gather insights, and drive process improvement initiatives
  • Conduct root cause analysis to address recurring process issues and implement corrective actions
  • Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance process efficiency
  • Master the end-to-end technical solution set (enterprise architecture, interfaces, which system does what …)


Profil

Technical profile requirements ?



  • Master degree in supply chain/logistics, economics or equivalent by experience
  • Substantial professional experience in transportations processes and systems
  • Profound knowledge of global logistics and transportation processes
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of business process needs/mapping/documentation – BPMN 2.0
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in process design, optimization, efficiency programs and project management
  • Some years of experience with SAP TM is desired
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills: MS Project and MS Visio or other process mapping software is required




Non-Technical profile requirements



  • Open, collaborative mindset
  • Structural thinking – able to create structures in highly complex projects and circumstances
  • Excellent networking and communication skills
  • Able to manage cultural differences




Methodology/Certification requirements ?



  • Master degree in supply chain/logistics, economics or equivalent by experience
  • BPMN 2.0 certification is a plus
