a Corporate Development Manager for the Mediahuis Marketplaces team that drives the growth through strategic acquisitions and investments. And we believe that you are the right person.

Corporate Development Manager

Here’s a Summary of What the Job Entails: 
Venture Portfolio Build Up
  • Screen property and recruitment markets to spot potential scale-up venture investment targets. You are responsible to reach out to the founders of those scale-ups and assess the opportunities.  You constantly explore new ways to connect with the best investment targets, expanding your network with both digital as in-person contacts.
  • You present your insights to your colleagues and involve them in the continuation of the process. You compile the investment case and present your findings and recommendations to the Marketplaces team and Mediahuis Executive Team.
  • Subsequently, you will manage the due diligence and transaction process with the support of domain experts and seal the deal.
Portfolio Management
  • You manage the venture portfolio by attending the board, analysing the company reporting and supporting the venture management where necessary
Portfolio growth by M&A
  • In addition, you join the team in the full M&A process on mature Marketplaces targets, performing due diligence and be involved in all other elements of acquisitions (market and financial analysis, business plan development, sparring with advisors on tax, financial and legal topics of interest, investment negotiation, …)
  • You add value with your expertise in supporting or running strategic projects for Mediahuis where applicable.
The main location for this role will be in Antwerp. We do count on your willingness to travel to the different countries in Western-Europe we invest in, like The Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Luxemburg, Germany, Switzerland and the Nordics.
In summary: you will source ideal opportunities for Mediahuis to invest in the winners of the future in the European property and recruitment market, support the global M&A strategy and be involved in strategic projects within the 28 brands of Mediahuis Marketplaces.
