a Data Scientist for the group Data & Insights team. And we believe you are the right person.

Here’s a Summary of What the Job Entails:
In this position, you will take insights about visitor behaviour on our news sites and apps to the next level. Your analyses will help us make adjustments to the services of our digital newspapers and online applications. It also allows us to better understand the needs of our subscribers and visitors.
On your own initiative or at the request of your internal customers, you transform digital data into models, algorithms and visualisations. You also monitor the success measurement of digital projects. As a result, you make data insightful and enable our digital team, editors, marketers and sales teams to test their creative ideas.

• You identify the right use cases among internal customers and translate these into a concrete data science project;
• You participate in gaining key insights on all aspects of our brands;
• Using relevant tools and techniques, you process different datasets of varying size and complexity (big data stores, app, web, registration, email data);
• You help visualize insights and communicate them effectively with the rest of the company;
• You support the various end users in their daily use of data, they can come to you with questions;
• You guide data analysts in building notebooks;
• You manage your priorities and monitor the progress of your projects;
• You are an expert in the use of the internal data science platform and actively follow various user & expert groups on this topic, both internally and externally;
• You are always willing to help your colleagues, also outside your specialities. They can count on you to help test and analyse new products, etc.;
• You work pragmatically and do not remain theoretical.

What's on your CV,
is important, but by no means the only thing we care about. We find it at least as important that you want to go for it full steam ahead, just like us. Full of enthusiasm, positive attitude and always solution-oriented. You are interested in the media sector, work independently and in a team, and have a flexible attitude. You can deal with the fact that priorities can suddenly change along the way.

You are the ideal candidate if you already have several years' experience as a data scientist. A strong knowledge of and interest in Python and Jupyter is absolutely essential; other technologies are a bonus. Affinity with data engineering is a plus.

Most importantly, you're a proactive individual who doesn't get bogged down in theoretical concepts.
Last but not least, you are naturally curious, love to experiment and are eager to use new tools and gain knowledge.
