Job description
USG Professionals is looking for a SQL DBA for our client in the region of Brussels.
As part of the Infrastructure database project team you will be tasked with planning and performing multiple SQL Server migrations from version 2012 to 2019. You will ensure that quality is delivered, standards are followed and all aspects of existing system have been migrated successfully to new system. A proper handover from project to support group should be performed.

As part of the Infrastructure database project team you will be tasked with planning and performing multiple SQL Server migrations from version 2012 to 2019. You will ensure that quality is delivered, standards are followed and all aspects of existing system have been migrated successfully to new system. A proper handover from project to support group should be performed.
You will be responsible for:
- Technical evaluation of existing environment
- Planning and building of new enironments
- Migration of database components
- End user co-ordination & communication
- Alignment with differtent teams (infra + apps)
Profile
The candidate SQL Server DBA will be able to demonstrate the following technical competencies:
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server suite of products SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, MDS
- Strong knowledge of database internals, queries, schema structures, linked servers and agent jobs
- Windows Server knowledge essential
- Good understanding of infrastructure components such as monitoring, virtualization , storage provisioning and networking
- Oral and written communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem solving
