SQL Database Administrator
Job description
As part of the Infrastructure database project team you will be the technical expert, tasked with planning and performing multiple projects in SQL Server area. You will ensure that quality is delivered, standards are followed and all aspects of existing system have been migrated successfully to new system. A proper handover from project to support group should be performed.
You will be responsible for:
- Technical evaluation of existing environment
- Planning and building of new environments
- Migration of database components
- End user co-ordination & communication
- Alignment with different teams (infra + apps)
Profile
Technical:
The candidate SQL Server DBA will be able to demonstrate the following technical competencies:
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server suite of products SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, MDS
- Strong knowledge of database internals, queries, schema structures, linked servers and agent jobs
- Windows Server knowledge essential
- Good understanding of infrastructure components such as monitoring, virtualization , storage provisioning and networking
- Oral and written communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem solving
The candidate will be able to demonstrate past experience
- Database Administrator in infrastructure area
- Work in a large and complex environment
- Hybrid working is accepted, with around 2 days per week in the Office (Brussels)
- Your stakeholders will be located in various countries (Belgium, UK, France, Czech Republic, Poland, Turkey).
