Senior International Mobility Advisor

Job description

As a Senior Global Mobility Advisor, you will be responsible for compliance, governance, and operations related to international assignments and cross-border work situations. Your main responsibilities will include:


  • Policy Improvement: Stay informed about market trends and regulatory changes, recommending adjustments and enhancements to company policies and processes, and supporting the International Mobility Manager in implementing global changes.
  • Global Mobility Strategy: Participate in shaping and implementing global mobility strategies aligned with organizational objectives, supporting talent management, and following HR policies.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure that international assignments comply with local and international social, legal, and tax regulations as well as the company's internal processes.
  • Contractual Analysis and Cost Calculations: Analyze contractual setup possibilities for new international assignments and prepare, review cost calculations in cooperation with business managers and/or sales teams.
  • Collaboration and Solutions: Work with internal stakeholders (HR, finance, legal, tax) to address complex mobility challenges and deliver effective solutions to ensure the successful execution of international assignments, providing support, advice, and solutions for immigration, relocation, moving, payroll, and tax matters.
  • Expat Payroll Management: Oversee the implementation of expat payroll in both the home and host countries, acting as the primary contact for the payroll agency.
  • External Provider Management: Collaborate with external service providers to deliver high-quality and cost-effective solutions, managing escalations by assignees or vendors.

Profile

We are looking for a proactive decision-maker with the following qualifications:


  • Experience: Master’s degree with 10 years of professional experience in international mobility management or compensation and benefits management
  • Legal and Policy Skills: Ability to draft and adapt policies and legislation with a strong focus on legal aspects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of global compensation practices, including executive compensation and international mobility programs.
  • Tax Expertise: Good knowledge of all aspects of international taxation. Knowledge of social security legislation in Belgium, France, Germany, and/or the UK is an asset.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset, accurate and rigorous, with excellent command of office tools (MS Office 365)
  • Customer Orientation: Customer-oriented, proactive, able to take initiatives and think creatively to find practical solutions in alignment with company policies.
  • Flexibility and Communication in both English & French: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to constant changes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Availability: Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe.
