Reinsurance Accountant
Job description
- You will support the Reinsurance Coordinator in the organisation of the Reinsurance Back Office team and act as a reference person. You will participate in the supervision of the Reinsurance Back Office team in order to optimise the day-to-day follow-up and the transactions.
- You will develop the necessary instruments and draw new procedures and proposals aiming at optimising administrative tasks. You will summarise these data and make recommendations to the Reinsurance Coordinator.
- You will participate in projects linked to Reinsurance.
- You will assist in the reconciliation of all reinsurance transactions and their accounting, with a focus on intercompany transfers.
- You will control accepted and ceded reinsurance during the internal and external transaction audits.
- You will provide support for recording information and following up ceded reinsurance payments to ensure that transactions are correctly handled within the agreed deadlines.
- You will be in charge of administrative and accounting tasks for accepted reinsurance in order to handle the transactions within the agreed deadlines and reliably.
- You will coach, advise and support the team to develop its technical expertise in collaboration with your manager.
Profile
- You hold a Master's degree in Accounting. An experience in credit insurance is an asset.
- The knowledge of the SAP financial and accounting environment is an asset.
- You show good oral and written proficiency in French, Dutch and English.
- You are able to think critically and have excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
- You like working with numbers.
- You are able to work with strict deadlines while managing several priorities.
- You have good social skills and you are client-oriented.
- You have excellent communication skills and the capacity to influence.
- You like working autonomously but you also show team spirit.
- You are proactive, flexible and demonstrate commitment.
