Offshore Communication Manager

Equans is a young brand that emerged in 2021, but relies on more than 70 years of experience in multitechnical installations and maintenance services. As part of the recent reorientation of our Offshore activities, we want to establish and develop a clear marketing communication strategy to position this Business Unit (BU). The BU Offshore has been a market leader for several offshore EPCI projects throughout Europe for a long time, and we continue to monitor and maintain many of these platforms. Our expertise and know-how in this area make us an ideal partner for any offshore wind development in the international market. As a BU, we are an ideal player in the substation market by combining our expertise in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning (EPCI) of Offshore High-Voltage Substations (OHVS) and Monitoring and Maintenance of complete offshore wind farms.

Equans is looking for an Offshore Communication Manager (Hoboken, Antwerp).
Based on our commercial strategy and priorities, we are looking for an enthusiastic communication thinker and doer who wants to take on this challenge with us.

Strategy

• you develop a marketing communication plan based on the communication strategy for the BU Offshore and the specific strategies of the various business lines
• you determine priorities and objectives and define the KPI’s to be followed regarding the impact and return of the actions taken
• you coordinate activities across the 3 countries. You will also ensure that the initiatives guarantee a maximum transversal approach and avoid silo effects
• you are responsible for the offshore communication budget

External

• you develop a digital communication strategy, as digital is the primary channel for our B2B campaigns
• you work closely together with the Marketing Communication Manager of Equans Belux
• you ensure that all relevant projects and information regarding offshore projects and achievements are communicated to the External Communication team to support the overall image of Equans
• you manage our tradeshows & marketing materials (presentations, one pagers, website content)

Internal

• you advise senior management on internal actions linked to the global strategy and priorities
• you support change initiatives and ensure communications to inform, educate, motivate and engage internal stakeholders
• you monitor, review and adapt our internal communication channels to improve the impact of our communication to the whole organization
• you develop & deploy internal communication campaigns based on the needs of different internal partners: HR – HSE – ethics - ...
  • you develop all internal communication materials
  • you organize & coordinate digital & physical internal events
• you are end-responsible for the internal communication channels

Within the Belux organisation, the Offshore Communication Manager reports directly to the Business Unit Manager of Offshore, but also has a functional reporting line to the corporate Belux Communication team.

What do you need to be successful in this function?

• proven experience in marketing and/or communication (+/- 10 years)
• experience in a B2B context and offshore is a plus
• capacity to translate and make strategic objectives tangible for internal population
• hands-on approach
• positive and inspiring attitude
• team player
• creative and out-of-the-box mindset
• willingness to travel (20%) within Europe
• trilingual Dutch, French and English
