Job description
Responsibilities:
- PCR method development, qualification, non-GLP sample testing and reporting, to deliver high quality data to advance UCB’s gene therapy portfolio
- Work within the bioanalytical teams to develop and optimize processes related to experimntal design, sample testing, and report generation.
- There may be opportunities to support the method development and sample testing for other bioanalytical methods including cell-based immunogenicity assays
Profile
Your profile:
- At least a BSc, preference for an MSc in a relevant biological discipline with more than 3 years of experience in bioanalysis.
- Demonstrated advanced technical understanding of PCR assay development and optimization, experience with qPCR and digital PCR technology platforms is a plus
- Experience in troubleshooting DNA/RNA extraction from challenging sample types
- Experience working in a BLS2 laboratory and adherence to HS&E measures. Experience working with viral vectors is a plus.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards while supporting the delivery of assays and critical data sets within project deadlines.
- Takes initiative to improve existing processes and documentation to maximize efficiency and delivery timelines. Advanced expertise working in Excel is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a matrix environment and able to communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders, including in an English-speaking environment.
- Be agile and flexible in adapting to changing projects and organizational priorities, aligned with project deadlines and departmental needs.
