SOUS CHEF

In the fall of 2024, de Herten will open its doors as a new café/wine bar with a twist, offering a welcoming space for drinks and bites, as well as a restaurant where guests can enjoy quality meals with friends and family in the heart of nature.

To help bring this vision to life, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated

As the sous chef at De Herten, you will work closely with the head chef to deliver a consistent and high-quality culinary experience. You will be responsible for managing the bar bites, ensuring they meet our standards for taste and presentation. You will also oversee the delivery and organization of our kitchen supplies.

Formal training as a chef, or equivalent experience
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
A passion for cooking with fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients
Attention to detail in both cooking and presentation
A commitment to cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
A positive and dynamic attitude with the ability to work well in a team
Knowledge of FAVV regulations is a plus
